Shock Absorbers

I have a 1996 Explorer Limited with the air suspension system. It needs new shocks real bad. The shocks for this particular model are very expensive. If I purchased shocks for a regular suspension, will they work just as well? Can wear on the inside of my front tires be a result of bad shocks?

Wear on the outside of your front tires maybe partially from the shock but more likely from being out of alignment. I would think you would have to put shocks that will work with the air suspension system.
Good Luck :)

What about the inside of tires?

get the alignment first, then see how it runs. If you still think you need shocks then best get them, but search around. Lot on the net for parts. try this site for infor and prices www.rockauto.com Possibly you can't avoid neither.

forget to mention that'll you probably have to change your tires too. check auto recylcers for second hand tires. (even 250,000 dollar cars break down)
