well i has leaving monday to go to school. Every time I walk out, at about half way to my car i hit the unlock button. Well the little button didn't turn on my light like it should and and I didnt hear it click. I knew somthing was wrong at this point. the door was already unlcoed for some reason. i sat down and saw my sterio was stollen.( the keless entry doesnt work because it is the 98 ex and the keyless entry is wired through the sterio.) the fucker was so stupid that he first riped ut the center consule( around the vents) and a little bit of the dash befor he or she realized they weren't conected to the sterio harnes. they also mesed up the window a little bit bit too, because that is the way they got in. i figure the total repairs could cost anywhere from $1,000-2,000
what i would give to catch them, but i know it will probably never happen.
i would literally kill them
anyone els have a similar experiance.

if i report it it would just rase my insurance and i only have liability
I could look at it as weight reduction and use the money that it would have taked to fix it and use it to put under the hood.

Even if you only have Liabilyt, you should still have comprehesive coverage as well and uninsured motorsit coverage. Theft goes under comprehesive coverage. One comprehensive claim shouldn't raise your rates too much, it's not like a collision claim in that regard. Even if you only have liability, I'd be suprised if you didn't have comprehensive. I know of many agents who won't issue insurence without comprehensive & uninsured motorist. A lot of people don't realize there is nore than just liability and collison coverage. In this case it would fall under comp, so I would call your agent and check your policy to see if you have comp. If you do, you only pay the comp deductable, and they'll cover the rest. As I said, a comp claim won't automatically raise your rates like a collison one. The insurence company is supposed to look at comp claims like they were "an act of god" and not your fauly. Now if you make 3 comp claims in one year, that's a different story as that is quiet unusual.

I had a similar situation happen to me but they were smart about it...they knew exactly what they were doing because they got my stereo, CD Changer that was in my LOCKED trunk and all my CD's...they went thru the hood and disconnected my battery, once the battery was disconnnected my doors unlocked...one thing i can say is atleast they didnt break anything, just had to replace what was stolen....theiven bastards!!

and i have NO CLUE how they got into a trunk that was locked, but i guess if you can pop a hood from the outside of the car you can get into a locked trunk....fuckin bastards!

i would get the insurance co to pay for everything, insurance wont go up that much and then buy a fucking great alarm system, then your shit wont get jacked, get sensors on the hood, trunk, doors, ignition cut off, wheels.

Exman, my heart goes out to you buddy! Is sucks on so many levels when hard working stiffs like us put down so paychecks to get our ride to be the way we want it, then some junkie piece of human garbage with a screw driver comes and f**ks it all up.
I’m always trying to learn how to watch my ass (not just with my ride either, but that a different story) I’ve heard of people some how bolting the back of the radio to the chassis. Has anyone here heard about this or is it a crock of s**t? Also, do any of you think a hood lock would have helped here?

at least they actually got what they were after, and no I'm not kidding. When my car got broken into two years ago all they jacked was the face, it was like a kick in the balls to top things off. The response I got from everyone after telling them was, "Who the fuck did you piss off?"
I think I would have felt better had the fuckers actually taken the entire damn thing instead of just leaving me a discontinued unit that they didn't make the face for anymore. Felt like such a waste when I threw it into the garbage.

my stereo is screwed into a bracket behind the stereo, you have to take the whole center console to get it out. Its easy but its better than just clipping it into it.

Mine was the same way in my 4th gen. Reason why they didn't get the unit just the face. They sure as hell tried though, my center console was so fucked after my car got broken into.

the thing that really pisses me off is that they messed up my dash. they didn't know the how to take the sterio. stupid people do stupid things in stupid ways. alls they really needed was a hanger or somthing thin to get into the slots. maybe i will just take the center part of the dash out(since its already broke), and put a T.V. there. lol

i had some fags break into my bros car and took his hella cheap system. well anyway it was a 4 door integra and if u know how its set up then u know its hella easy to break in. what they do is they pop the hood from the top of ur drivers side tire. because thats where ur wire runs to pop the hood. then they cut his alarm and unhooked the battery. then the window doent have the frame around it in a 4 door so they stuck a wire down and unlocked it and took everything. theyre lucky they didnt brake anything cuz i would of left something else out and shot at them with my pelet rifle. 1000 fps. that would hurt oh well, i laughed cuz there was nothing worth stealing except the deck and the car itself.

damn, sorry to hear about that!! same shit happened to me in front of my apartment, and i live in italy. dickheads hit 8 cars that night all americans. and you know what they left me $5 on the back seat. they took a $500 pioneer radio, 2 12" pioneer subs, 2 pioneer tweeters, a bunch of cd's, broke my window and i had a knife in the car, THEY EVEN TOOK THE KNIFE!!!!!!
after that i didn't put anything back into my car, now i'm starting to get the itch again about another system, and that's about 6 years ago.
i know that feeling like your heart just drops down to your ass!!!
