Hi, I've been serching for a track car for a couple of months now. As I was driving home from work today, I noticed an 87 Rx-7 NA for sale by the road. They're asking $800 for her, she has 130k miles on her, new clutch, body doesn't have any rust. I noticed it was smoking from the back quite a bit, but it was white smoke. Outside it was probably about 45 degrees, and the car was cold. What is this from? Later on, I would be interested in doing an engine swa on this, putting an engine from a 95 RX7 with twin turbo in it. Will it fit? Do I need to modify the engine bay at all for it to fit? What about an Rx-8 engine? Will that fit? Is this a good deal for $800 (I'll probably offer $500)?

did u try searching on this topic? this questions have been asked many times. first the smoke may be eather from the cold or it has a blown coolant seal. second it is easyer to swap a 3 rotor engine than to swap an FD motor (93+) if you are interesed on doing an engine swap i would suggest you buy it and swap an S4 13BT engine or search for an 89-91 and swap an S5 13BT :iceslolan

if you are looking for a track car, i suggest you to buy a track prepped car off the bat, it will cost you less in the end, a good cage, suspension setup and reliable mods are costly enought. if you wanna get a 13b twinturbo, i suggest you get a 13b-re from a cosmo, its stil twinturbo, and engine mounts adaptors are sold. it has the same potential an FD3S engine has, if you use the same turbos
