I have a 1993 s-10 Blazer Tahoe LT- Problem is long crank before starting... the engine will crank over and over for a good few seconds before it initially starts, once it starts it runs great. Shut it off and wait just a few minutes or less and try to restart and it starts right up, anything longer than 10 minutes or so cranking problems again. if i leave it for a couple days without starting it starts right up. I have changed the starter/wires/cap/rotor/plugs/battery. Fuel pump runs but i think the problem is some sort of fuel problem. please let me know if you've heard of a problem/solution similar. thanks!

Before you go changing out the pump you should check the fuel pressure. Also, when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

I know the fuel pump is working properly- I had other people tell me it might be a pressure problem, Ill see about changing the fuel filter. Is there any way to check for pressure problems easily (mainly some sort of vacuum affect.)

The only true way to test the pump is with a fuel pressure gauge...it connects to the schrader valve on your fuel line..

CPI injector is leaking.

Open up your upper plenum and look for washing from gas spraying.

I'll give it a shot this weekend, but i dont think its leaky injectors because after 48hours+ it will start right up no problem. Thanks

Changing a starter for a long crank time is a waist of money also changing battery waist of good money.
LONG CRANK TIMES ARE 9.9999999 TIMES FUEL PRESSURE PORBLEMS.

Just because it will start up perfectly now doesn't mean the injector is fine.

It will sometimes work, and sometimes not.

I understand what your saying, only problem is the long cranking problem has gone on so long that the starter went and would just click when I tried to start and the battery was replaced before any problems came up, it just needed to be replaced.
