Hi, I saw all the posts concerning the oil pressure light coming on and off at idle speed.. My Intrepid just started to do that last month. I went to the dealer and they changed twice the oil pressure sensor but the problem is still there.. I saw the TSB or TBS on one post here but mine is a 2000 and the problem was for a 1999 model Intrepid with the 2,7L. I have 234000 km on it but the oil pressure test is more than very good.. Is a TSB good even if my warranty is completely out??? Thanks alot and btw, thats the only problem I have with the car... I put 0$ on it for those who wanna know if its a good car ;)

If you mean that Dodge will cover any costs for the oil pressure light because there is a Technical Service Bulletin, then no, they won't, since your car is outside of warranty. TSBs are just to alert to potential problems and serve as guides to mechanics for repairing the issue. Although now that I think about it, you should have a warranty on the work the dealer did, so if it's still acting up I would think the problem would be on the dealer to figure something out -- at no cost to you.
The oil pressure light in my Intrepid used to light up when the key was in the start position, but it never came on during driving. This never gave me problems, and I took the car to 177,301 miles.
And you're right, Intrepids are wonderful cars  .

Thanks.. I'll give you comebacks after I'll go to the dealer... They just did the work 2 weeks or maybe 3 weeks ago so I guess its still on theur warranty.. Thank you very much btw...

I went to a garage and they change the oil pressure switch wire.. Now and finally, everything is back to normal.. the light doesn't blink anymore on idle speed... Also, I received a cheque from DaimlerChrysler Canada. I wrote them a registered letter about the problem that I had with the car so.. if you have a 2000 Intrepid or Concorde and have that kinda problem.. they pay back the job cause the recall for the 1998-1999's still good for earlier car but.. I say but...your dealer wont take care of the TSB.

Sounds like the engine has to come out .Needs a crankshaft kit.2.7's have a weak bottom end.

It is true,2.7's have a weak bottom end.My father and I have put crankshaft kits in them and the oil light is off after that.I have seen what happens when it is not fixed, car on fire.An auto salvage yard in my area bought one burned in the front end that way.My father bought the motor as a core.
