I thought that I could start this thead now. I'll start building this after I finish my other projects.

It is a Revell Camaro 69 Convertible. It has 396 big block. Some speed parts have to make to the engine room. Maybe one supercharger.
Also subframe connectors will built.

Here is some inspiration for me. And good reference also.

This will also be my color choice.

I bought cheap metal Burago Corvette '98 for fun, but realized that it wheels would look good under Camaro. So here is a mock up whit major body parts attached.

Burago kit came with four plastic brake disks. They look very realistic imho. I'll have to create the rest from scrap parts.

Here is a Corvette wheel compared to 206 wheel that I first was going to use. But now I can use it for other project. It's hard to find spare wheels here in Finland. Also a Viper steering wheel. Maybe I use it.

Here is a stock camaro seat and a corvette seat. Corvette has too long lower part, but better upper part. If I use camaro lower and corvette upper part, I could create better seat for higher speeds.

Feel free to make questions and propotions.

Sweet! Thats Jeff Trush's Convertible Camaro, awesome restoration job and story behind the build...if you want more refference pics of that car, its in the latest issue of Car Craft magazine. Just picked up my copy a few days ago.

I agree, the corvette wheels look very nice under that camaro. Looks like an awesome project, cant wait to see more. keep it up, and good luck!

If you want reference pics go to www.pro-touring.com and look in the cars section (jeff posts there) or go to www.lateral-g.net and look there. Funny you mention the Viper steering wheel. The white convertible you posted has viper seats recovered in orange houndstooth. Lots of pics available on the two sites i mentioned above so there will be lots of reference for you.
