2000 CE Questions

I just bought a used ce and have a few questions I couldn't find answers to with a search.

1. There is a light on the lower left of the instrument cluster, yellow, shaped like the car with "markers" near the tail lights. What is that telling me? It comes on and stays on after you use the brake the first time. It doesn't come on if you use the emer brake. All my tail lights and brake lights work fine.

2. I need the location and description of the keyless entry receiver on a 2000. Is it in the same place as a 2001 or a 1999? If I buy one from a wrecked 2001 in the junkyard will it plug into my existing wiring harness?

Did you also check the center brake light bulb? That sounds like the brake light indicator. Besides having a brake light bulb out in the left or right sides, a burned out center brake light bulb will make this indicator light up, too.

Not sure of the answer for your second question.

FYI, the center (or high mounted brake light) bulb will be a 921.

my car has a spoiler and the light in it works. the place where the 3rd brake light should be just has a plastic cover???
