Hi everybody
I have a Volvo440 , 1989.
When I turn my ignition key the dashboard lights won't light. Ofcourse it doesn't happen all the time. These dashboard lamps are almost always on when I start my car at the morning.
When the engine is warm sometimes the engine stop running. Then I have to pull over and open the ignition key it takes 10 seconds or more and then suddenly these dachboard lamps light and I can start the engine.Sometimes it takes a few minutes!! Is it possible that some part of ignition system is overheated and after a few minutes cool enough to work again?!
There's no problem with the starter or battery because I can start the car. It's normal that the engine doesn't run without those lamps on.
I think that there's a problem with my ignition key.
Does anyone have an idea what and where the problem can be?
I checked all fuses and they are ok.
Thanks a lot
