Hello;

I came across this site after much frusteration and perusing of the web.

I was/am trying to locate anything related the particular troubles we are experiencing with this vehicle. Now that I have found a place to discuss these troubles, I am hoping perhaps someone has some much needed insight on how to fix our current dilemma. It would be greatly appricated!

Here is a breif rundown of what transpired.

My father just purchased a 93 voyager AWD with the 3.3l v6.

On the drive home, the vehicle ran well up to the point when he decided to engage the cruise control...............then oops! trouble!

The van idles fine, and runs great, with the exception, that it does not (now) run very far!
The transmission engages and we can drive for about 30 yrds, then it dis-engages. After idling for perhaps a minute, it is ready to go another 30 yrds and the same thing happens all over again.

We checked the transmission fluid level and related fluid instances, and the only thing to really note, was that the level did seem much higher than it should be.

We also noted that perhaps the wrong trans fluid may have been used.

DOES ANYONE know what could be creating the problembs we are now experiencing? In particular, can anyone offer a solution (hopefully not costly) to fix them.

Also, does anyone know of a related malfunction associated with the cruise control that would cause these problems.

Thank you.

Look under GEORGEARTHUR's thread under Caravan/Voyager! I too have the same problem with my 1996 Grand Caravan 3.0! I hope this helps you!
