Im not exactly sure that it's the paint but something is chipping really BAD. Notice underneith the window you can see the piece that is supposed to be black.. but as you can see that its chipped rather well. Is there anyway that I could fix it or , buy a new one.. or repaint it..?

you can paint anything...and im sure you can buy it new from somewhere as it is just a piece of molding. try seeing if a body shop will order it new for you if you dont want to paint it. but if you decide to paint it, just sand all the paint off and get a good smooth but rough surface. then just paint it. you can use primer but for that, it shouldnt be necessary.

fyi if you have comprehensive coverage on your insurance your insurance company will pay for the paint, since that would be a comprehensive claim. all you pay is your deductible. it also won't increase your insurance if you file a comprehensive claim. good luck
