possible suspension problem?

ive had my 3000Gt SL for like 4 months, bout to take it off the road for the winter. However, recently (always in cold weather) ive noticed a weird noise when either 1.) accelerating, not hard, for the firs ttime that day...engine still cold. 2.) going relatively fast over a hill, making the suspension stretch a lil. The noise is the noise you get when you go over a rumble strip, but to a less degree. Does anyone have any idea what this noise means????

OK, well from what it sounds like the first time is engine related, the 2nd suspension related...which is it? Can you identify where it is coming from?

Also the only time I get a noise moderately remeniescent of a rumble strip is when I shift up too early...and my rpms aren't high enough. For example, if I was driving in 2nd gear at 1200rpms, I'd get a shuddering sound from my engine. But I'm assuming you are speaking of something else.

So let's try a few other ideas...do you get a clunking bouncy sound when you hit a bump or pothole?

Does your engine vibrate excessively when you give it alot of gas?

well, from what i can tell it is the suspension, i dont know why it does it in the first example... it only does it like that sometimes. But anyways, itll do it everytime i go over a hill like i was saying, making it a suspension thing. I have an SL.. so it has the ecs, so i was thinking that mmmaybe it has somethin to do with that. im not sure... but no it the engine never rumbles with a lota gas and theres no bouncing/clunkin noise when i hit a hole.
