Chiltons manual?

I went out to buy a manual to help me learn how to tune up and fix my car and I went to Kragen auto parts and asked for the manual, they pointed me towards a wall of Chiltons manuals. They said these are all I will need to fix my car (and tools and parts). Are these as good as Helmes manuals? They only cost about $16 and are for multiple honda type cars over a 5 year period. The pictures aren't the best and the descriptions seem a bit tech head oriented, are the Helmes easier to use or better? Thanx!

I think Helm's are better:) Chilton is too vague and covers too many models, therefore is less specific and doesn't explain in details

I dont care for chiltons manuals. They dont give enough detail on what to do, they just tell you to disconnect this or that and you would have no clue where it is. Definitley go with the HELMS MANUAL. It should be your first mod like xivera said. :finger: :D

Thanks, I will go look for a Helmes tomorrow. I read a few chapters in Chilton and I really got the feeling I don't know anything about cars. Hopefully the Helmes will be more towards car idiots like me.
