air cleaner

I have seen dual snorkel air cleaners on camaros and firebirds 3rd gen at the junk yard.I was wondering if I installed one on my stock 82 firebird s/e would I gain any power.I look forward to your answers.

it will allow more air into the carb, you might gain a little hp not much, the dual snorkel setup came on the 5.0 high output camaro's and trans am's, my brother has one on his 86 trans am. it did make the exhaust sound a little deeper after installing it.

thats tight, im going to buy it and install it.
