wiper arm removal

how do I remove the wiper arm from '94 Escort?

If its like my 99' the wiper end of the wiper arm is shaped like a J. The wiper should have an adapter on the wiper. The top of the adapter pops up...turn the hole wiper and adapter till you can slide it down off the J hook. Thats how it worked for me.
