I wonder if anyone has taken the screen off the front of the maf sensor. I wanted to take mine off but wasn't sure on what tools I need to take it off with. I have a 98 burb 4x4

Leave it alone!
The screen on the front of the MAF sensor is designed to straighten the air flow so the sensor will read it properly..although many people believe it helps performence to remove it, I have found it causes more problems.e

Thanks. I have one other question. I have been told that adding slick 50 to my truck would make it run better and bring some life back to it. I don't have any problems with it other than it uses more gas than I would like (i know it a suv and should be use to it). She doesn't burn any oil or leak any either. I just don't know if I should put some thing like that on a motor that has over 100k.
