91 4runner speedometer and odometer

i have a 91' 4x4 4runner. the other day i noticed that the speedometer was not working. I also noticed that the odometer and trip odometer were not working either. what kind of problem is this? and can i fix it myself or just take it to the toyota dealership? any help would be appreciated. thanks.
