Abs Light

My ABS light is on and I am thinking that it could be the high speed sensor that I had temporarily cut the wire to when I repaced the nuckle on the pass. front side last summer. What do you guys think? Are these wires something that I can just crimp a connector on and still get the right connection? My ABS light was on before I cut the wire and I thought that maybe it was due to the fact that that bearing was going out at that time. I have to get an inspection done Wed. and it won't pass with that light on. I thought that maybe I would just take apart the dash and get rid of that bulb. Or, maybe there is a specific fuse for that bulb?!? Any thought or info. would be awesome. Thanks

HMM.. If your ABS light is on, it is most likely something with the ABS system. I believe you can have a diagnostic done that cycles a test in the ABS system and it should show what your problem is. It can't hurt crimping the wire for that sensor back together and wrapping it tightly in electrical tape. Good Luck :)

I had that problem to, so I topped up brake fluid in the master cylinder and it went off.

I am now not sure what the wire is that connects to my front pass. hub. I thought that it was a abs speed sensor. However the people at the parts store told me that the abs sensor on fords is on the rear differential. Low and behold that is where my chilton says it is. Didn't get the sensor replace though. I am letting it fail inspection today like my wife want and then "supposedly" we have 30 days to get the problem fixed and have it re-inspected. I tried to just pull the warning lights fuse and that took power away from all guages as well. thanks
