I need help! 97 accent

I keep pulling up a p0135 on my accent, and need to know where the oxygen sensor heater is or how to check it. I have ran through the chiltons manual over and over and can not find anything about the device. Yet, that is the only code coming up on the obd II reader.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

That would be heated oxygen sensor, not an oxygen sensor heater. Oxygen sensors are in the exhaust, one on the manifold, and one after the converter.

I have a 97' Accent GL, I replace all 4 sensors, then guess what? Now, my check engine light won't go off because the new sensors require a little more electricity then my computer can handle.

I have spoken with my mechanic and he said that the check engine light coming on because of this, won't cause any phsyical problems. I just won't be able to tell if there is a problem. So every oil change they just run a quick diagnostics to see if anything is wrong. He said it isn't a huge problem, but if I want he will put a new computer in but it isn't nesscarry.

my problem was actually quite simple. When I changed my clutch a couple weeks ago, I didn't plug the sensor in all the way. With a couple weeks of driving, the plug had vibrated completely loose and my problem began.

imvain2, You might want to check all of your plugs to see if you may have the same problem as I. I know quite a bit about automotive electrical systems and electronics in general, and you may have some loose connections also. You might also check to see if any of the terminals in the plug are coroded in any way. This will also cause a faulty connection.

lowsonoma1999, sorry for my confusion in the original post. The obdII said oxygen sensor heater and I took it as it said, as opposed to actually thinking of the terminology. Thanks for making me think!
