Just wanted to Vent for a Bit.. I Had a wonderful weekend with my Girlfriend, We went to our Company Christmas Party at the Sheraton colonial, Fantastic Room.. Couldn't ask for better service.. Upon Returning home (we took my girlfriends car to the party) I go to Put my bed-cover back on before it gets dark I notice a white Dust all over the tailgate and inside the bed, upon walking around the truck I notice its covered in a thick white film..in the door jams windows, completly covered...Now I'm wondering how the fuck this happend :angryfire ...I just detailed my truck last weekend.. I had left it parked in front of my house (Spotless), We live on a quiet Block.. There has been some construction going on down the street and I wonder if it blew off of a passing truck..?? who knows, but I had to give up my tickets to a Minor league Hockey game to clean my truck once again..I can see If I had a slight dusting but I had to wash it twice to get all of this shit off.. I just got so pissed because I spend countless hours trying to keep my things nice..ya Im that guy.. It aggravates me when people can be so careless. :disappoin Luckily it did not scratch my paint..
My lesson Learned this week....Never park on the street again, Park as far up in the driveway as possible.

I think you'll find that most of the people on these forums feel the same way about keeping their cars spotless... But i know how aggravating this can be, i think it's happened to everybody at least once.

Oh yea, I feel you on wanting to keep your things nice. What would be the point otherwise, right?
But yea, park in the driveway at all times. By the way, why did you park on the street in the first place if you could have left it in the driveway.

..I left it in the Street because my friend said he might stop by and borrow my trailer (He has keys to the locks) to move some furniture up to his new apartment. but its the last time Im parking out there. For the most part My neighborhood is Very quiet, its full of older people. recently they put an apartment complex down the street from my house and now I see groups of teens roaming through at night and smashing bottles and leaving trash everywhere. :disappoin

Sorry to sound like a dick, but I mean come on, your truck got dirty, you expect it to stay clean forever?
When I give my car a good wash and wax, Im happy if it lasts more than a day nice and clean.
You say there is construction? Then why are you surprised when dust gets on your truck. Just seems like one helluva overreaction to me. And why would you give up your tickets? I probably would have cleaned it off sometime before or after the game.
And finally, how does someone unintentionally getting your truck dirty by driving by, doing there job nonetheless, constitute ignorance?

Well I guess I should have taken pics before I Washed it, it wasn't just a bit dirty, almost looked as if someone hit it with a fire extinguisher... You would be pissed too if you came home and found your ride so filthy you cant see out the windows, Now it being Sunday Evening there are not many car washes open, and It was 30 degrees out and very windy, So for me to have to stand outside for over an hour and wash my truck twice to get the mystery caked powder off, I think entitles me to complain. I am anal about my things and I have no problem getting my hands dirty or working outdoors, but who wants to stand outside on a freezing evening and wash shit off their car, As for the Construction, the house at the end of the street, some 20 houses down is putting an addition on. I understand that accidents happen, But I'm still not convinced that it wasn't Kids fucking around in the neighborhood. My neighbors Sierra was keyed over the summer, In his driveway 3 houses down from mine. Mailboxes have been getting smashed in the middle of the night. I think many others here would feel the same way if it happened to them. :2cents:

I wasn't suggesting you call the cops over a dirty car. You're trying to watch your car in case something happens to it, and cameras are the way to go. This is an area where I know my stuff, I catch criminals for a hobby, and I'm pretty good at it. I agree most cops are useless, being nothing more than reluctant, lazy report-takers pertaining to vandalism, property-damage and such. You have to take care of this sort of thing yourself, cops don't care about your stuff. I give my tapes directly to a prosecuter and let the shit roll downhill, then the cops then have no choice but to do what they are told. Video evidence is 100% effective, and I've yet to be beaten by the bad guys I've filmed. I recommend that anyone who wants to keep his stuff to invest in a system. Think of this. Even if you only catch one guy, it will probrably solve a lot of other cases in your area. One guy I caught ended up being prosecuted for 66 other car break-ins.
