alright guys, heres another dilemma of mine
my lude's clutch pressure plate is well...fucked.
i'm planning on buying an Exedy + XACT combo from clutchcityonline.com. My friend is a tech at a chevy dealer and can perform some things on my car, but removing a tranny to install a clutch is too lengthy a procedure to be done there since i didn't buy the car there or anything. if i take this to a mechanic, the labor alone is gonna cost me hundreds i don't have. the only real thing stopping me from doing this at home is lifting the car. my idea was to set it on blocks a couple of feet in the air. this sounds like it may be a bit dangerous. i need other suggestions. remember, i need to lift the car up high enough to be able to remove the tranny through the bottom (only way out without removing engine).

I installed the clutch on my prelude. All your gonna need is a jack and four jackstands. Jack it up pretty high. Your gonna be dropping the clutch onto your chest then to the floor, then sliding it out through the wheel well. It's is a pain in the ass job. The shift linkage part of the tranny would not clear the supports under the engine bay. We had to rotate the tranny 90 degrees to drop it. Then getting it back in is just as much of a pain. You'll need some help to do it.
