Dual

Would it be a waste to go from single exhaust to dual exhaust? Does it look good, or look like crap. I want to put dual exhaust on a 2000 2.2, 2 door and dark green in color (nothing to do with anything, just might look better on a darker color car rather than light). Any opinions or suggestions.

You might loose back pressure... and loose your low end torque... look wise yes they look good. Sound... i know of a few ppl who have recived citations for them being to loud... but no tickets.

Depends on what kind of duals. If you go two muffler, it will sound kind of funny, like the RKSport dual kit. If you go single muffler dual outlet, like my car, it will sound a little louder than a single.

No performance change either way really.

more weight, extra muffler to send exhaust through;sounds like a waste to me,...but it probably would look pretty good tho

Looks good, performance about the same, I would use a single muffler dual outlet like the Camaro / TransAm muffler. It mounts crossways and has 2 outlets. Several people have put them on Cavaliers.

Search Camaro mufflers on Ebay. Flowmaster, Dynomax, Magnaflow all make them. If you're having a local exhaust shop do it, they could probably order one for you. Best price would probably be on Ebay.

if i get a dual exhaust system, its gonna be quad tipped, those look really nice IMO. As for performance, their wont be any change really unless you buy an extremly restrictive muffler, but i doubt that will happen.

You can always go lame about it. there is this exhaust youcan get. if you are looking for an exhaust on the left and right side then get this exhaust that runs from your cat and makes a lower case h. it shouldnt steal from your torque. if you want 2 dual exhausts go to meijer and buy a couple dual exhaust tips.
