96 Quad 4 crank no start

Im sure this question has been asked before, but I wasn't able to find it in the search. Im working on a 96 quad 4 that was brought to me cranking, but not starting. The owner just recently tried to install a water pump hiself. It was brought to me with the side motor mount still off. I simply pulled the ballancer, and cover to find the exhaust cam a tooth off. I went ahead and replaced the chain, and tensioner. I double checked everything, and turned the engine over twice to see if the dowels still lined up. After I got it back together it cranks good, and gets good fuel but fails to fire. The plugs are nearly gas soaked, so I know its getting fuel. How do I check for power at the harness going to the coils? I know how to check the coils themselves for fire, but I need to check for power at the harness first. If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it. The quad 4 isn't my specialty, and Im a bit lost at this point. Thanks.

You may want to check the compression - Quad fours are zero clearance motors, if the timing was out chances are the valves are now bent.

I did a compression test, but the number 2 cylinder is the only one thats low. All the others are up to specs. I also looked in all four cylinders with a borescope, but couldn't see any cuts in the pistons. With it just a tooth off, I couldn't see it bending valves bad enough to keep it from starting. I know that the clearances are tight, but Im sure their would be some visible damage if it wouldn't start. I might do a leakdown test next, but Im still leaning towards lack of spark as the problem.

ive got a 95 garnd am, with exect same problem, it only starts when it cold, when it's warm u can crak it all u want it won't start, i've had it on Diagnostic computer it gave me 3 codes, Lean Exhaust, Lean Air/Fuel, and a 7X Sig Error, numbers r 19, 44, 55. if u get it satrting, message me back and tell me what u did, cuz i'm thinking of gettin a Z24, i'm sick of this Quad 4
