Remote Starter Help Please

Ok , so i have a 2000 Jetta GLS 5Spd ( yes i know thats kind of an oxy-moron having the smallest engine with a manual tranny) and its got the stock security system any-one know if VW made a Remote start module for this car and where to get one , also if they didnt any way to program an after market module to work with stock remote ( i just dont want to carry the huge but cool key and another remote)

Nope. VW hates to have anything aftermarket added to their cars. You can get something like DEI's 561t remote start unit. It uses the factory keyless as the triggers to start it. You'll press lock 2 or 3 times. The only problem is that you'll give up 800' of range from an aftermarket remote start keyless to have about 75' of range from the OEM.

Remote start + 5spd = dangerous. If you try to start that car while in gear the car can lurch forward (or backward) and do damage or hurt someone.
