I'm not sure if the D15B7 is VTEC or not since I live outside the US, but if you would like an engine almost similar to it (meaning SOHC), then your best bet is the JDM D15B, which is a VTEC engine. Just be sure you get the VTEC and not the VTEC-E version of it. More power, then you would have to get a B-series engine. Both D- and B-series would fit into your engine bay.

the d15b7 is not vtec, get a d16z6 as it came in the 5th gens and it has vtec, thats the easiest engine to swap in

it would be a very costly operation to switch from carb to efi setups. you would be better getting a car with efi already in it, then swapping that motor for a vtec model. the cost of the wiring to be done for your conversion would not be beneficial.

so i can jas get a mechanic (bcoz i only know basics) to take off the carby and the engine i bought (which is efi) goes str8 in the engine bay??

not really, its a bit more complicated then that. again its not even worth the effort converting the car over. just buy a newer model.
