radios that dont skip???

what do you look for in a radio when you dont want one that skips much or at all i mean is there anything you go by and what is it?

go by brand and reputation
My alpine has never skipped, pretty amazing considering I'm on some very stiff coilovers and San Antonio has some of the worst roads I have ever seen.

is the lower end stuff just as good for not skiping

I've used JVC, Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic, and other "low end" units with no skipping issues whatsoever. I had terrible experiences with skipping in a Rockford Fosgate head unit.
I think installation is more important than brand, but you're right, the really cheap stuff will give you headaches.

well i kno for a fact that the lower end jvc stuff blows becuase we just bought one and took it back the same day and the lower end sony stuff blows but the pioneer stuffs not bad. never tried rockford or panasonic

stay away from kenwood Ive had a bottom line one and a nice excelon and they both kipped horribly

Alpines are the best at skip resistance .... it's why I stick with them
