Wondering if anyone would know why my car shakes so much when I am sitting still and it is in drive.
Once I hit the gas at all it rides perfectly smooth but it just rattles and shakes a lot when im sitting still and it is in drive.
1994 2.2 RS.
Anything wrong or is this normal.?.. Anything i can do to fix this?

A new trans from level 10 - stops all that shake - 2 of my buddies work there - the one has a 93 cavy - that thing shook like a raver dancing on ecstacy - an the other guy had a 98 sunfire - wasnt as bad - but they both installed a trans from Level 10 an the car has no stutter shake or vibrating....

My 92 does it too, I just put it in neutral.
I drive mine like a 5-speed, need 2 more gears though, LOL!

do you realized when you do that, you are putting more stress on the transmission and its not functioning likes it was designed for. Thats probably why its running poorly.... thats no worse than reving your engine and bouncing it off the rev limiter.... damn people need to realize what you are doing to your cars.

Yeah, I know, like I said I'm gonna switch it over to a 5-speed anyway, and it doesn't run poorly AT ALL.
I don't bounce off my rev limiter, I was the one that said it would eventually damage the pistons.
It won't hurt it to put it in neutral at a red light.

its not the tranny. if your sitting in park, nothings enguaged.. ??. its because its a 4 cylinder. all 4 cyls shake. theres nothing you can do but tighten everything in the car that raddles, and tape things down. like what i did. hehe. if you want to fix it, goto a 6 cyl. even better, get a v8 :-P

no not when its sittin in park, when im stopped and its sittin in DRIVE.. it shakes like a mofo. is it normal

http://www.levelten.com/ they can do what ever u want - new trans - a trans upgrade - high performance trans - replaces syncros/upgrade them- rebuilts

its not the tranny. if your sitting in park, nothings enguaged.. ??. its because its a 4 cylinder. all 4 cyls shake. theres nothing you can do but tighten everything in the car that raddles, and tape things down. like what i did. hehe. if you want to fix it, goto a 6 cyl. even better, get a v8 :-P
