Hey... I need to do a survey for my AP Statistics class... So if you guys could please answer the following questions... that'd be great. Please answer em honestly... these are all anonymous in my report so nothing to worry about. Also, all driving questions are set under "normal" conditions... stock sedan in summer weather. No fancy or big cars, nothing strange about the road conditions.

I nees 40 people to take it please... all help is appreciated... more than 40 would be great too.. Thank you mucho in advance.

How many infractions (tickets, warnings, accidents) total have you had? 1 ticket (76 in 55, reduced to 65 in 55) probably about 5 warnings I can think of, even though there were more (here are just some 70 in 25[cop just cussed me out], reckless driving [doughnuts], running a stop sign, illegal tint, 40 in 10), 1 accident no ticket for it though (going 40 in a 25 on ice, and was going around a turn, and didn't quite make it, and scraped up a parked car)

Do you think going 5 mph over the posted limit is dangerous? NO

At what point is speeding dangerous?

His conditions were "normal driving conditions.
Well, I don't think that there are "normal" conditions. Driving on a 6-lane interstate, speed limit 65, 100 is just fine. (35 over) Driving on a curvy montain road, 2-lane highway, spee limit 55, sometimes 55 is just about as fast as is considered safe.

Do you think going 5 mph over the posted limit is dangerous?

NO

At what point is speeding dangerous?

c) 10-15 mph

well I guess i'll say C but I feel it really depends on the road. going 10 miles over on a winding back road is alot more dangerous than going 10 over on a straight highway.

How many infractions (tickets, warnings, accidents) total have you had?
1 warning when I was 16 no tickets (keep it on the track)

Do you think going 5 mph over the posted limit is dangerous?
Generally No

At what point is speeding dangerous?
c) 10-15 mph

It really depends on too many conditions mostly car, driver and traffic. My Porsche is much safer to drive fast than my Subaru, heavy traffic is more dangerous than highway 50 in Nevada (the lonliest road in America) Someone who is talking on their cell phone two months after they learned to drive is more dangerous than someone with more experince and the sense not to do something other than drive.

Good luck on the class.

Depends on where it is and what the conditions are. But I would have to go with never for the most part.

Dont get me wrong, there are definately times when it is not "safe".

Of course, that depends on what your definition of what "safe" is :-)

Yes, I do think going 5 mph over the limit is dangerous.

Speeding is dangerous "e", always.

My definition of safe is getting no tickets or infractions or any of those kind of problems. Who wants to pay more money?! Not having accidents or hitting anyone I find goes in tandem with following the law, though it's obviously not a guarantee or anything. I don't speed much anymore and make a point not to speed at all, so far it has only turned out good so I guess I'm sticking with it. It might be important to note I go through 30km/h school zones often and drive on the highway not often. I really don't see going a little over on the highway that dangerous but I myself probably don't care enough to do it.

But really depends on the conditions, the car and the skill of the driver and the road is about the most important factor (There are some speed limits I'll exceed by 30 - 50 Km/h if the conditions say yes)

speeding is ok, everyone does it

speeding 15mph over the limit is pushing it, especially when idiots or 15 yr olds do it, those are the assholes that make insurance rates high for the rest of us.
