springs now, shocks later?

I am getting 15" GSR wheels for my 99 civic coupe and was looking to get Neuspeed sport springs to drop it around 1.75". That done I was gonna keep the OEM shocks until they busted and then go with an aftermarket upgrade (Bilsteins, Koni etc.) By then I should have the money to get a decent shock rather than get a cheapo one for now that I can afford. Is it a totally bad idea to wait till they give?

Any feedback on the Neuspeed sports on a civic with OEM shocks would be cool. Also (I know this has been asked a billion times, but there has never been a consensus) will I need a camber kit with the sports? The wheels are 15s so I shouldn't rub, right?

Thanks in advance.

BTW, correct me if I'm using the word shocks wrong here.

you are correct. if you did that it would be fine. the springs dont lower that much so the stock shocks should handle it for a long time. u'd be surprised. mine is lowered 2'' on stock shocks, from what i heard, i thought my shocks would blow up in a week. well they havent, but im still getting new shocks anyways. no you definitly wont rub so u dont have to worry about that. and for camber kit, maybe maybe not. mine is down 2" on stock wheels with no camber kit. there is no inner tire wear, however, the tires are very chubby and round, not flat tread surface like low profile tires. so that may be the reason i'm not getting camber wear. as for you, after u get the springs, see how ur camber is. if ok, get wheels, if bad, get kit. after u get wheels, put them on, but watch for camber wear, if you get it, get camber kit.
