I really only got super serious with building models this year, and I was wondering when the new cars usually show up? Im looking for the 2005 Corvette, 2004/2005 GTO, and possibly the 2005 Mustang. Anyone have a general idea of when the new cars typicaly show up?

Better then Tamiya doing it with the 80% probability that it has no engine.

Soon to 6 months...
Published release dates often come and go without kits showing quite often though.

I got a flier from Revell that had both the '05 Mustang and '05 C6 Corvette listed as new releases/coming out soon, but it said the C6 was a Snap-Tite...I very much hope they're wrong...
I would love to do a new GTO. I have a friend with one, that is one pimptastic hot rod. I don't think I've heard of Polar Lights, they good? How much $$?

Polar Lights has been very impressive lately. From what I understaind, their GTO kits will be prepainted (correction?), but that's nothing some brake fluid can't fix. I've been sitting on my hands waiting for that kit.

Yeah, up until Friday afternoon when we were treated to the news that RC2 had killed off the upcoming Ford GT and the '05 Mustangs from Polar Lights due to not enough presales :disappoin  .
Ladies and Gentlemen, proof positive that people in high places just don't freaking get it. I'm ashamed that US-based model companies can be so short-sighted at times, and I can't say that on my second-favorite US-based message board because it's "so unfair" to the model companies. Is it any wonder the rest of the world looks at the US sometimes and says "WTF is the matter with you idiots?".
BTW, whenever the Revell C6 comes out, the first one is supposed to be a full-detail glue kit of the coupe, the second will be a curbside convertible, probably sharing tooling with a promo. The Mustang is to be full detail. I just hope it's not 2099 before Revell gets them on the shelves as "classics of the early new millenium" :evillol: .

so far they axed an AMT Hummer H2, and a Ford GT and an 05 Mustang, The only way there gonna make it up to modelers is by giving us a 300C or Magnum
