I'm replacing the clutch on a 89 Accord.
I've gotten to where I need to take the axle out of the hub but the steering knuckle won't come out and free up from the steering arm.
I can't pull out the assy and remove the axle/drive. then I've got to pull the transaxle out........HELP
I've tried to use a puller to push up on the bolt. the ball is free on the arm on top but it won't come out.

Thanks for that page, it pretty much details what I've done so far.
The problem is that the knuckle is stuck. I've used a puller in the manner shown and all i've done is bend the stud. Yeah it's really stuck.
I'm gonna get a "pickle fork" tomorrow and try and pry it off.
I've used the requesite 1/2 pint of WD40 but still not good.
Thanks for your input.

Your not the supporting the car under the lower control arm are you? If that's the case it's never gonna come apart but you seem smarter than that.

You could always remove the upper strut nuts & inner lower control arm bolt to remove the whole thing in one assembly.

a fork combined with a breaker bar and some muscle will pop it out no matter how stubborn it is. be sure to have a fork wide enough as not to tear the boots on the ball joint under alot of pressure.

Yes, get a fork. They're only like $5-10 for a good one, and it will definatly get it out. A good BFH will help too.

remove the lower control arm first, than spray everything with CRC. once its loose it should just pull apart. If i was you i would put the top of the knuckle back on and use a puller to remove the lower knuckle first. my guess is that you didn't seperate the lower knuckle or the lower control arm. and that might be the reason its not commin apart. when pushin on the bolt make sure you have a nut on the end.
