1992 K3500

i forgot i had put my truck in 4wd, and as soon as i tried to move it on dry pavement making a right turn i heard noise coming from what i think is the cv shaft, and it also seemed to kind of hold the truck back, almost like the brakes were applied then let go. Is this a normal ? if not, might i need a new cv shaft?

Was it coming from the front? If so, yes its normal, to a point. it does't feel like brakes releasing but it will feel like its dragging a bit
