I noticed a drop in my gauge from 14.5 to 13. It stayed there for a few days, then back , and has been stable for about a week. My driving habits have not changed nor have conditions. Any ideas ?

Some fluctuations in gauges are normal .....to an extent. Your volt gauge is there to monitor the charging system of your vehicle. Battery's are battery's , sometimes they need a little more charge than other times or vice versa. I would not be to worried about it unless it would either drop and stay there or get high and do the same. And even then you are still under warrenty.

Thanks kenny, I know Delco had some battery issues at one point, but this one is only a month in service. I'll keep tabs on it and if it drops again for a period of time I'll have a Tech. look at it.

Also temperature changes make a difference. If it is colder one day the battery will usually need more voltage as colder temperatures tend to pull current from batteries of any age; older ones just have more trouble recovering.
