a fuse?

I just finished installing my new system yesterday and i went to take it for a spin and when i turned on the head lights the gauge lights dont come on and neither does the light for the shifter. is this just a blown fuse? everything elses works fine, just seemed odd to me that those two things would be the only things on a fuse.

Did you disconnect the battery when you were installing everything? most likely a fuse. look at the in car fuse box.
