ProComp AAL question

Actually 3 questions, I tried a search but got nothing.

What are the part numbers for the ProComp Add-A-Leafs?

And...

From what I understand there are two AAL's that the Xterra can use.
Long ones that need to be trimmed, and short ones that don't.

How much trimming will the long ones need?
If I put both on will I have enough resistance in my spring pack to remove the Load Leaf without having problems with the suspension crossed up?

the AALs are $58. They are little thick highly arched, generic springs. I have a set. They were the only thing available at the time. They really do add a good amount of lift to the truck. But I'm not exactly sure what they do in terms of flex. they may actually counteract the regular springs in the same way a load leaf would.

Calmini has a set of Add a Leafs, for $150, which replaces the load leaf and allows the ENTIRE springpack to flex, not just the area around the AALs. Not sure if anyone has installed these by themselves, but they are definitely worth investigating. could be the difference between a new set of springs (as the AALs may cause your original springs to kink if you flex too much. Not saying it will happen, but it's a possibility.

Calmini's AAL is actually DUAL AAL. It consists of total 4 leaves (2 on each side)...

And, I thought that I've heard somewhere that SLR has 3-leaf AAL? Maybe I'm hearing things....

Just an FYI the SLR and Calmini add aleafs are only good for 1.5-2" of lift...now i wonder if you can slide the Rancho add aleaf in between the two others of those dual add aleafs and make a real good spring pack? Steiny is heading to my house tonight to pick up some new parts and if i remember i will take some measurements and see if the Rancho add aleaf will work.

That's why I was asking if ProComp was a dual leaf setup.

When I went into 4Wheelparts Warehouse the manager told me that there were two AAL's by ProComp that fit the Xterra.
If that's true I want to put both on.

I think I remember someone breaking several sets of ProComp AALs, but I could be wrong.

Those were procomp or fabtech or Fabritron. It was Carlton.... who else?

carlton has broken a few procomps. i have the fabtech and they work great. i also have a rancho which i'm going to install below the fabtech to try to get another inch of lift. also getting the 1" SLR shackles. i'll post pictures once its installed.

I dont think procomp has AAL's made specifically for the Xterra. They probably do have long and short AAL's made for mini trucks that might work though. i also know that trail master has long and short AAL's for mini trucks that might work as well.

the SLR AAL's gave me 2.5 inches of height and with the addition of their 1" shackle i got over 3". again this is what i got right after the installation. after getting some use out of them the measurements could be and are probably different due to settling.

...also if you look at the shot closely the AAL's come with a spring clamp to prevent the springs from twisting out of place. the SLR AAL's fit perfect together with the factory springs which make it look like a new spring pack.

That's what I figured is that they're just general AAL's that happen to fit the Xterra.
Probably same width or something so they say that it has Xterra applicaitons.
