tuscan kit car

I read on another thread that someone is looking for a tuscan kit car. I have been toying with the idea of building a kit car based on a mid to late '80's corvette because they are fairly plentiful, and as close to a sports car as you can get here in the states. Of course, the original kits would be powered by the typical 350 V-8 with a 5-speed but as money allows, I was thinking that a V-8 wouldnt do the car justice as it was originally based around an I-6 therefore future builds would include mods for a jaguar I-6. Why Jaguar you ask? It has basically the same literage, it is a DOHC, just like the original and they are fairly plentiful. However, I dont know if it would be profitable for me to do as they are not widely known about in the US. What do you guys think?

I can't speak for widespread popularity because, like you said, TVR is not well known here. But I know if someone built a kit of the Tuscan I would jump at the opportunity to buy one.
