Does anyone have the slightest idea where I can locate a TOYOTA service manual for my '85 4Runner??
I am also looking for any Air Conditioning parts as well. I've just purchased an SR5/EFI with just over 30,000 miles on it, and I plan on keeping it for quite awhile!
Thx

You can try ebay if you're not in a hurry. I've gotten them for $45 to 60$ average. The factory source does not support more than the last ten years at the "normal" prices. They get really expensive older than that. They quoted me $140 plus shipping for an '87, and that was 3 years ago. You can also try www.bookfinder.com/. They will search other used book stores also. Use "Toyota Motor Corporation" as the author, and "Pickup Repair" for a title and it will pull up all the years available by the factory.
See the following for an example,
http://www.bookfinder.com/search/?author=toyota+motor+corporation&title=pickup+repair&submit=Begin+Search&new_used=*¤cy=USD&mode=basic&st=sr&ac=qr
I just did a search and found one by Robert Bentley, but it was $115!! These are really hard to find, but I like the layout over the factory manual. If you can get one of those, from my experience, they are 99% as good as the factory manuals on all mechanicals, except for body repair. Here's the link on that one, as of Dec 4.

Be aware, the Bentley covers a range of years, whereas the factory manual only covers that specific year. Any year to year changes are not covered AT ALL.
Good hunting.
