Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me. I was recently in an accident, unfortunately my '94 Aspire was totaled, $7000 in damage.
The guy that hit me is lying and I need your help to prove he is.
I am looking for any documentation that says a 1994 Ford Aspire's fuel pump shuts off upon impact. My car is already in as salvage :crying:
Please send a link where I can find it or email me the info where I can get this.
Thank you all!
PS I am buying another Ford, an Escape, a little bigger. But I miss my baby!

yes you can find that exact qoute on page 10-01-7 of the 94 ford aspire service manual. its stated as follows
Inertia Fuel Shutoff Switch (IFS)
An inertia fuel shutoff switch (IFS) is connected in series
with fuel pump circut and will stop fuel pump operation in
the event of a major collision or vehicle rollover. The reset
button must be pushed to reset the IFS switch once it has
been trigged.
information found in the 94FORD ASPIRE service manual again on
pg. 10-01-7 section covering Fuel tank, Filters, Lines and Electrical Fuel Pump.
hope that helps
