My son and i are about to embark on a project . a 97 accord ex which of course has the vtec motor. We will paint the car add a body kit and some engine dress up to start with. We have a cold air intake that we also be installing with a modified exhaust. Seems like headers on this engine are a waiste of time and money but some people are saying pay $100.00 to this certain place a get the throttle body bored out. This I guess is supposed to be a descent hop up for the money? adds 5-10 horsepower? We are on a very limited budget and are curious what people think about the throttle body bore out or any other advise will be helpful. I think this is gonna be a great father son project .....i hope :)

It certainly doesn't hurt to bore the TB. I wouldn't pay more than 90-100 bucks, though. You'd be better off saving that 100 and putting it toward a good Greddy 4-2-1 two-piece header, however. You can probably procure one of those for around 300 bucks. Good luck- I wish my old man had built me a fast car when I was a kid.
