shoot redline help

i redlined my engine preatty bad i have a 04, my redline is at 6250 rpms and i took it to 7000-7250 rpm where i can hear my engine reving i know i messed up real bad? but i dont know wut redlineing can do to my car? can anyone tell me? and wut to expect and wut can i do to help my car?

As for your motor, if it still sounds and behaves exactly as it did before,
then you probably didn’t throw anything. Or maybe you did. Change the
oil; drain the old oil through a stainer and check for bits and pieces. And
change your serpentine.

i just got a brand new oil change 5 miles before i redlined it, i though i threw it in 2 but i guess didnt
its got over 5000 miles on it so yea
