All looks fine, but those box dimensions only give you a 1.5cf sealed box, they do NOT take into account the port. When you add in the port it will be larger than that.

thanks sr20, so how would i fix this? find out the ports displacement then add it to the overall displacement of the box?

yep

and remember, with dimensions like that you're obviously doing a slot port, so if it snakes through the enclosure you're going to have to find out exactly how much space the port takes up, including turns and wood. You can't just say 1.5*14*35.4/1728 = .43cf and add that, because once you add in those turns and the extra wood you have in there for the port walls, it's going to be larger than that.

hmm....make straight cuts and use glue :)

oh, and caulk the joints on the inside after you have it built

other than that....I can't think of anything

So that's the program I should be using when planning a box? Anything I should know or is it mostly self-explanatory? Eh, I'll get it and ask questions later if I run into any problems :).

it'll be confuzing when u first start, just hit us up here and we'll try to help you

on another note, sr20 i jsut finished the plans for my box, the total size is 2cu.ft the port is about .5cuft i did a bunch of calculations and made all the measurements already, gunna go buy wood, and pick up a circular saw then im set

and after that...... its time for me to build a fiberglass kick haha, any tips? i bought everything already, and i practiced by putting a cloth over a 6.5 speaker spacer.. ontop of a few sticks of wood.. nailed it to a piece of wood, and started by putting resin all over it, now its like a small 6.5 speaker box, but i haven't put any fiberglass and its hardending already, i didn't have any fiberglass sheets or anything so i just let it sit -_-

Nice, just take your time on the box and double check every measurement. The first box I made had 1 wall that was about a quarter inch too long and stuck out, the second one had maybe a 1/16" lip on the bottom where the front face sat too far back, and from then on they're pretty good. If you're carpetting it then it doesn't matter anyway, because all of those will be covered up.

As for FG, I can't help ya, never tried my hand at it. I want to eventually, but it will probably be after college unfortunately.
