Ok have anyone went to as far as modifying a 1:18 diecast body to fit on a 1:18 Remote Control Car?
Comtemplating this after seeing the Specs on the HPI Micro RS4 Remote Control Kit.. The Body on the Kit is exactly 10" in length and 4.3" in width. If it's scaled Properly Both 1:18 Die-Cast Body and Remote Control Car Body's Wheel Base Area should almost exactly meet where they should be to mate for wheels to fit. I may have to shelled out 200 bucks to find out that answer..

Not looking for a fast Rc.. Just an RC representing my car.. If it's slow then cool atleast it's Remote Controlled. :) + there are no Matrix RC bodies anyway that's why I am thinking of the Idea.

Unless you have a top notch RC body, a diecast Matrix is gonna be way too heavy for it. Also modifying the two to fit together would be a real bear of a project.

sure it'd be heavy but I think it wouldn't be to hard, go for it, just make sure you tint the windows so you don't see all the insides

if you want a rc car with a detail body, tamiya and kyosho might be for you. i think they have 1/18 or similar RC cars as HPI too, but the electric components are integrated. also, check out their plastic model catalogs.
