Hey, so thanks to you guys who helped me out with my last problem, the guy in the garage said it was the igniter but is not going to order a new one but instead a new rotor and distributer cap, the ignter would have costed €250.
Now I have a new problem, well actually ive had it awhile but im going to get the garage to look into it, before something bad could happen. The problem is that it is taking me a good while to change into gears sometimes especially 1st and 2nd, mainly when changing down. Other times it will go in fine but with a grinding feeling even though i cant hear anything. Other gears like 4th are quite notchy to change into even though changing into it is ok. I have to put some force onto the gearstick when it wont go into 2nd this might take 2 or 3 seconds but all the while the car is slowing down. Ive tried letting the clutch out before trying again but makes no difference
Does anyone have any ideas, i've been told it could be the syncro or the clutch slipping?

definitly sounds like synchro's. your either going to need to do dome internal tranny repair which can get really expensive (unless you live by me) or spend $150 and get another tranny

It there is no grinding noises then it is most likley the clutch.
If the syncros are shot the there will be a nasty grinding noise when shifting.
The thing is that it is unlikely that all the syncros go out at the same time, actually near impossable and you would know something is really wrong.
Another thing could be bad bushings in the linkage or even the tranny mounts.
I would look at the fluid first, if it is full then the linkage, then clutch is the next suspect.

^true, except you wont always get that nasty grind sound. And he said that its mainly a problem in 1st and 2nd. If you really are having problems with every gear, then like beater said, you most likely have some linkage or clutch issues. If the clutch isnt completely disengaging, the synchros will have a real hard time lining up with the ring causing problems. Also, if the linkage is bent or loose, the forks wont move properly and will make shifting difficult

Could be the ring gear, good point.
Bent fork could be too.
They did say all four gears, 3&4 nocthy, but 1&2 were the worst, which is typical clutch issues.
I guess that the bigest question we didnt ask is how many miles on the clutch and how do they drive to really start the process.
Interesting about the grinding tho. I havent gone through any honda trannys but I know that in chevys and fords if the first syncro goes then it is real hard to get in gear when down shifting and you have to force it and it grinds like hardcore, like grind, crunch, grind, grind, thock into gear. I got really good at double clutching in my Pontysmack POS.

get someone to push the clutch pedal while you watch the throwout arm move. see if it has a full travel to it. if not, adjust the clutch cable.
how easy is it put in gear when the engine isnt running?

when the engine isnt running its kind of the same esp. 1st, I called the garage and they said they would come out and have a look at it, they thought it might be the clutch because they had to adjust the clutch pedal because they said there was no free-play on it, which means it was burning out and well, it was like that for a year so i guess the clutch is probably kind of worn.
