I raced my buddy's stockish 96 tsi from a ~20 roll up to about 100, leaving him seeing my fart cannon from a couple carlengths back. That is all :smokin:

nice kill.
took my buddy's 97 FWD TSI from a stop and a roll.
stock (he only had k&n filter,) the tsi isn't really that quick at all.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought all Eagle Talon TSIs were AWD?

"The base ESi and mid-level TSi had front-wheel drive, while the TSi AWD had permanently engaged all-wheel drive".

AWD is like having the sling that shoots planes off of air craft carriers. I wish my integ was AWD then i wouldnt spin tire in third like it now does since it got cold, nice win thought....what u got done to your car?

Thats not bad for you. But take the money you invested in your modded honda, place half of it in the tsi, and you would be destroyed :)

When you own a car as slow as mine, you don't need AWD to prevent you from spinning the tires.>_>

1. Old thread....
2. I agree with you guys, the 5,000 richochet spent on his JDM B16b would have been much better spent in a dsm. However I'm sure you will all agree that we work with what we got and he happened to have a civic hatch so he got a sick motor for it. I mean really when was the last time you saw a hatch with a CTR engine in it in the states? kinda cool if you ask me.
3. The 5,000 he spent to get his hatch to a 14.4 1/4 would have definitley gotten him a 1st gen eclipse or talon and modded it and gotten nice times but a 1st gen would have alot of miles on it and modding the engine wouldn't have lasted him a quarter as long as his practically new civic with the new engine. And a 2nd gen would have cost too much to mod for that price to get a similar time.
anyway in any other situation I would agree with you buuutt seeing as it is a very rare and unique swap i kinda would have gone the same way as him. just for the gotta have it factor... kinda why I stick with my 2nd gen gs-r rather sell it and get a newer gs-r.
