Transmission & Engine seperation

I need some expert advice seperating transmission from engine on a 1998 BMW 528I. I have looked at manuals but it is unclear how to disconnect flywheel from torque converter. I am pulling the engine.

The torque converter has bolts around the outer edge that retain it to the flywheel.

There is also all the exposed bellhousing and the two starter bolts.

Then wedge a soft flat wooden paint stir stick in one side and leverage the the transmision against it to work it aft.
