not geting spark

how do i test to see if i am geting a spark?

First off, what year vehicle? If it has plug wires, simply remove one from the sparkplug, place screwdriver inside, making contact with the metal portion, find a metal area on thengine. Hold the shaft of the screwdriver about 1/4" away from the metal object, crank the engine. Should get a blueish color spark. Oh, make sure you are well insulated from the metal.
