those prices are WAY steep for a not street legal R32..... you can get a car like that for under 10 grand. Shipping a car to the states doesnt cost 15000. It's a nice looking car though, but you'd have to be a retard. Shit just spend 1000 bucks on plane tickets to japan and pick the car you want. then get it shipped back and it would still be cheaper and you'd have WAY more variety.

Interesting. Not a site a would trust, no physical address, phone numbers, etc. plus a nice, illegally hijacked V35 Skyline pic off of the Nissan Japan website.

Also, I have to say that I don't believe that car is in the US. The pics of it are at a Japanese Auction house. Granted, it could have been shipped from there, but if it is shipped into the US as a track/show car, it has to be arranged prior to importation, which means it has to be declared as either show or track because they have different procedures. That car is on the list of vehicles elgible for importation (through a RI that can legalize it, Motorex) so CANNOT be imported as a show car. And to be imported as a track car the paperwork requires a schedule of races, competition class, etc. All things that are done PRIOR to import. If not only a RI can pick it up from the docks, which RC Syndicate is not. Lastly, track and show use imported vehicles cannot be sold when they are imported.

I'm raising a BS scam site flag. Which means I'm raising a BS flag on the test drive also.

This is also not the proper way to register a domain:
you must put valid contact information including a mailing address and phone number. I'm supprised their registrar of that website is still in business

http://reports.internic.net/cgi/whois?whois_nic=rc-syndicate.com&type=domain

Here's what My site looks like (and sites SHOULD look like)

http://reports.internic.net/cgi/whois?whois_nic=blacklinux.org&type=domain

I can't believe how easy it is these days to just throw up a website with a bullshit credit card and some idiots are stupid enough to send you money. Maybe I should try it :-) :-)

... Wow...

I've driven a Skyline before... Does it mean it was LEGAL? Or does it mean that I DROVE IT?

Just because a Skyline is in the States, doesnt mean its legal there buddy. Weed is sold everyday... Does that make it legal? Nope...

Street racing occurs everyday... Legal? Nope...

Just because you claim you drove a Skyline... Doesnt mean that there is a legal way to get around the 'RI Route'.

Because the RI Route is the only LEGAL way. Sure you can bring a Skyline to the States in pieces... Reassemble it, and title it as a kit car... Legal? You guessed it right... NO.

I think I should make you an award for the 'Most annoying post of the day award'

... Hmmm... I should start handing these out daily.

GTES-t

So you need to be a RI to get a Skyline into the us? Well then, that tells me where to start. If MotoRex can do it, then others can too, they can't OWN the Skyline market, others will be around. But, you believe as you wish, that's the beauty of America.

Yeah, the hardest country to import foreign vehicles into... despite being free.

Most of the people on this site know that any RI willing to make a petition can import a Skyline. That involves doing everything Motorex had done all over again. Crash testing, proving they can make it compliant. EPA testing/compliance. All of this causing costs much higher then Motorex ever charged because you'd be paying for it.

So, prove us all wrong and get a Skyline legally imported without any help from Motorex. Until you do that just shut the hell up.
I normally don't tell people that, but why did you even bother reopening this thread? You were proved wrong about their ability to import a Skyline, why else would you say:
Just so you know, yes, I no longer believe in that company's ability to deliver a Skyline, which is why I removed the link.
You just proved everything we've said to be true, and now you're trying to say that we're ignorant and think we know more. You're lack of a Skyline proves we know more.

...but at least I HAVE driven a skyline. :thefinger
Oh, you've figured it out, we're jealous.... Since my3rdskyline, SkylineUSA, Skyline69 and I all own or have owned a Skyline.

I drive a Civic... You think that matters to me? We're kids man, we're not supposed to have machines like Skylines. That comes much later in life.

I learned the hard way... My first three cars were cars that I couldnt afford, and I didnt want to see that because I was so dead set on having my dream car early in life... Caused me more pain than anything.

And its not that we dont like newbies... Its that we dont like newbies that come on here and automatically set themselves up.

AvAlAnChE1090 did it the best I recall... He came on and said in his first post on the board, something like 'I am a newbie, but I plan on reading more than speaking, Im here to learn, etc'

Thats how you do it man... Thats how I did it, thats how most of the people on this forum that have lasted did it.

I dont think Im high and mighty... Just because I have 'moderator' under my name, doesnt mean I know more than you... I just means I can manipulate posts, and ban people.

And the rest of these guys on this forum are getting on you because they KNOW THEIR SHIT. I've learned most of my information from these guys. And I did not do it blindly if that is what you're thinking... Everything they said, they had proof and evidence to back it up. Not some second rate website with photoshopped logos on 'their' Skylines on a Japanese dock.

Real government websites that state the facts about this stuff. Why its illegal to do the 'Kit Car' route... Why going through a Registered Importer is the only LEGAL way to get a Skyline in the States.

And you know why people dont jump on them about it? Because they provide PROOF.

That is the only thing your very composed posts are lacking... Is some actual proof to back up what you are saying. Without this little factor, your posts mean nothing.

You saying 'If you think that MotoRex is the only way to get a Skyline legal, be my guess' is pointless and liable to cause a riot... Unless you provide some form of PROOF.

Get what Im saying here? Its not that we dont want newbies around (and that annoys me that you manipulated my post to say that) its just that we dont want people making posts, that have no solid ground.

If people would read before they post, things would run a LOT smoother around here.

Do you get what Im saying?

One of my closest friends used to be involved with a company called Night Szevyn Racing... This is ringing many bells in peoples heads right now I bet.

Cameron decided the same thing you decided... And he went at it full bore. I respect his determination, but what he was doing was illegal, and he was proven wrong, and his business was SHUT DOWN.

I was able to see this all unfold because I was relatively 'close' to it all when it happened. And the same thing is going to happen to you.

I am not one to accept that there is only one way to do something... I always find a different way... But in this case, I've accepted that the only way to get a LEGAL Skyline in the US... Is through MotoRex.

Feel free to attempt another way, but just know that your search will bring you more pain then anything else... Just like my search did for me.

These things will come later in life man... Dont rush it.

Your post was ANNOYING... It wouldnt have been if it weren't for all of the obnoxious 'smilies' that you used. When you do that, it takes away from what you were trying to say.

That was a reasoning behind me making that statement, dont try and twist it into something else.

I think one of the main reasons we get on people cases is for the saftey of the board and the members that visit this board. if we leave false, or untrue information running rampant on our board, what are the newb's that actually want to learn going to think? that you can get a skyline anyway, anyhow. we dont want to see people throwing away their life savings on blatantly inaccurate information.

Thanks Zed, that makes a lot more sense to me. No one has ever taken the time to break it down for me in such simple words. You make perfect sense and I'll take what you have to say to heart. I really didn't mean to mutilate your posts and turn them into something they weren't. It was a late night after a long day, and you know how it goes from there. I formally appologize to anyone who may have been offended by what I've said in my post, and also for saying that I was glad I annoyed you all.

I really don't want to be the bad guy here because I really do have a passion for these cars and I hope we can get along in the future. You all already know what I apparently need to, but at the same time I have to believe that there's another way around this problem. I am more than willing to pay over $100k for a pristine R34 GTR VspecII, but I have to be realistic - I'll never have that kind of cash to drop on a car. After getting behind the wheel of that R32 it just skyrocketed my hopes of achieving my dream sooner rather than later.

I promise I'll not post anything again until I have solid proof to back up my claims.

Special Appologies:

I'm sorry to ZedEx, GTES-t, my3rdskyline, SkylineUSA, Skyline69, thegladhatter, HighOctaneNOSUser, AvAlAnChE1090, AkinaDriftKid15, and nismo_power for causing a 2-month annoyance. Please don't hate me for being new. I promise to make a stronger effort to not look stupid, and I will indeed take the example spoken of by ZedEx and remain in the background and do a lot more reading before I start posting again.

Sorry again, and I'll edit my messages so as not to leave bad memories.

There's no hard feelings. A lot of it was how it came across. Mainly the post with the little guys with the fingers, etc.
We aren't happy about the Motorex price tag just like everyone else. But many of us have thoroughly researched importing vehicles and realize that it all points to Motorex for now. Yes, another RI could part the import, but it'd be a huge investment that none of them want to deal with. I have a 4-door which can not be imported even through Motorex because they never crash tested them. I've looked at every legal option and it would require a new petition, crash tests, etc.
That's another thing, here you'll only find out about legal ways to import Skylines. Like Zedex said, we don't want people to get screwed thinking they can just order one, pick it up at the dock and drive off. I've heard from several people who have done that just to find out what we've said is true. The car is stuck in customs, without enough money to get it legalized and they get charged for the the storage fees.
For that reason, if someone posts ideas for illegally importing a vehicle, or a site that claims to be able to import them legally and we know from the NHTSA import rules/list of RIs that they can't. We do prove it wrong, because in my case, I don't like seeing people who can just afford the car, but not the legalizing cost get screwed.

Skylines are a huge desire in the US, and there are several sites/eBay sellers, etc who are taking advantage of that with scams. Some of them actually come here to get their scam broadcast, that's why we are quick to prove it wrong, we don't want to add to the misinformation that is out there.
Unfortunately, your first post in this thread was very much like one of those.

Also unfortunately, due to the huge Skyline interest (mainly due to F&F and 2F2F crap) we get a LOT of newbies that jump on and start asking the same things that was just asked the day before without doing searches, checking the stickies, etc., and we do get tired of it and can become A**Holes.

We also do get a lot of people claiming to have a Skyline in the US, etc. Of course they post pics of Skylines still in Japan, of in some cases horridly photochoped pics of a Skyline with an obviously pasted on US license plate. Which is why my3rdskyline wants a pic of that person, the car, and the city or state sign. Because otherwise we just don't believe it due to all the false claims.

Again, no hard feelings, as I hope you don't have either. Stick around and you will learn a lot about Skylines on here. Unfortunately you'll also see a lot of the BS we deal with also.

ZedEx
02-06-2005, 08:02 PM
Well said GTES-t... And I feel the exact same way.

I heard of this one case (I believe the mans name was Dwayne) who bought a Skyline from OmegaSkylines.com and had it shipped to the US. It was a 1997 GTS-25T... Past tense notice.

The car got to the docks, and he attempted to 'drive away' with it, they informed him of how he screwed up. He called MotoRex... And what do you know, they cant legalize any car over the year of 1995.

So not being able to pay the dock holding fees, or the exportation fees or shipping back to Japan... The car was DESTROYED at customs.

A big hit for such a small technicality.

Anyways... Good words GTES-t. Wish there were a way that newbies were made to read this before posting

like Zed said, as long as you are sincere..it doesnt bother us. but its just after the past couple of weeks with constant threads about how people think they can get around mrex and the 25 year rule has everyone alittle on edge. we just like to get the information right, even if it means badgering it into people who dont want to believe the (awful) truth. trust me, if there was ways to get around all this crap, we all would. but we like to show people that their dreams will come, its just going to take more time, money, patience, and headache than it seems.
