S15 Conversion universal WTF???

Yo guys I just want your opinions on the S15 front end conversions, I've seen one at the show it was a cavalier with Silvia S15 headlights so what the hell, could they not read the headlights where it said SILVIA on a side WTF thats F#$ing disgusting, and now civics and all wanabee's getting these headlights. I think that if they come from Nissan they should belong to Nissans.

S15 Lights Belong on - S15s.

S15 Lights dont belong on - S13s, S14s, or any other car on the face of the planet.

uhhh hahah no definitely not.. there are lots of guys with sr20s and thats perfectly fine.. the engine alone doesn't make it a silvia.. there are many other factors, mostly cosmetic and which side you drive from.. if you look at it this way, we drive suped-down silvias with ka24d/e engines.. i think thats the actual idea cause they weren't born in north america!!
and you can still cross the s13-15 sr20det's with the s13-15 chassis but can take quite a bit of modification and extra parts.. its all up to you in that you decide how new of an engine you want to buy (and other differences there are b/w the s13-15 sr20s)

i have the SR20DET in my S13 fastback and i don't call it 180 sx! its a 240 sx. (some peopel buy the 180 sx side glass with 180 sx insted of 240 sx, thats gay!)

the 180 sx had the 1.8L and 2.0L engnz why its not called 200sx ? bcs it just a name.

when i installed the SR in my car, the last thing i wanted is to be a ricer!

anyways kep drivin that KA, u will see, with some $, u will consider the KA-T or the SR. not for rice but for the basic joy of driving.

if your true intentions were to go fast I think we all honestly know what a 240sx driver would do... make it go as fast as possible for cheap... thats turbo the KA... upgrade haha.. i can name quite a few things the KA has an advantage of over the SR, and put a turbo on the KA and its pretty decent.

I don't like those kind of people, 240sx owners or even a Civic owner... doesn't matter its just their personality. They saw Super Street and the next day they have to have a 240sx with a sr20 in it to be cool.

i think people don't turbo ka's cause they don't know what it needs.. it really is complicated to turbo a ka and get any decent power out of it, as i'm finding out day by day.. yeah, there are kits available but they're just about as expensive as an sr, if not more.. the sensible thing to do for power is piece together a kit.. THAT is how its cheaper than buying an sr and nobody knows how to do that

Sounds a lot like my premise is 100% right on! SR ENVY!

The point is, swapping engines is different, they don't change the appearence, just performance which only the driver knows about, to me a Zenki S14 is nicer then an S14 with S15 headlights, they don't do anything.

sorry I will never buy a sr20det motor, I had this name years back but then I got educated and found out what I really like in cars.... its no biggie flame me all you want.

next performance car: Lt-1 powered Cadillac fleetwood riding on hotchkis/qa1 suspension. why because I LIKE IT, it does what I want it to, and its badass contrary to popular belief and concepts....

I see what your saying but not calling the SR20 an upgrade is just retarded. I think people are obsessed with the SR20 because of all the misinformation going around. Most people buy the SR because Its been beaten in to them that the SR is better in every condition.

Either way Ive seen way to many KAs make themselfs a crankcase breather bigger than my head to ever want one.

So you think that I'm a SR20 jealous?? Dude I could do the swap this month if I really wanted to, its not that I dont like performance of a car I would love having alot of power in the engine of my 240, I'm not sure though if its worth spending $3000 on a 2.0L
But back to S15 conversions how many people do you know with sr20's and how many people do you know that has an s15 front end. I have people everyday ask me what kind of car it is because they have never seen an S15 and the car itself looks exotic, and now if there is a some rich bastard puts S15 headlights on their chevy or whatever that would be a disgrace for an S15.
I would own one right now if they were legal in US.

NOBODY that I know of would DREAM of getting an SR20 JUST to be cool. THAT is totally assinine. The SR is a quality engine and it is light and potentially an awesome source of power. Where I live it is the engine of choice due to those factors. MANY are swapping out RB20s for the smaller SR. I would have an SR20 over ANY 4 cylinder engine or 6 cylinder under 2.5 liter displacement. (I do live in Japan, though, and they are a dime a dozen here.)
