hey guys, i haven't been here for awhile, hows everyone been? happy holidays.
ok so now i've got a problem, right now im speakerless, i just got rid of all my pioneers, i have no sound in my car at all, and im ready for a new set of speakers
right now the CDT EF-61 components are at the top of my list, but what else is there? withing the same price range ($160 or so)
my friends recommended the MB Quart RCE216, and the Infinity Kappa 60.5CS, they also threw in the type R components, but im not going for that because of their lack of power handling (and the new type X speakers just cost too much)
well what im looking for?
Highs - not harsh, ability to get loud and clear
Mid/Midbass - i want the BEST quality coming from the mid as possible, i've heard a few of the mb quart components and they seem to be lacking when it comes to mids, but maybe it wasn't set up properly
Power Handling - I'm going to be putting 87wrms into the components at first, but i'll be putting 120 or so later, lower power handling is ok, i'll just re-set the gains
so what else is there? any opinions on the current selection and other suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks alot guys
o yea, sr20, how much did you get your kodas for???

I got the kodas for $280, but that's because they were having a huge sale at the time, they're $350 normally
In the $150 range I would check out the CDT cl-61a on www.thezeb.com

i was under the impression that the ef-61 was better than the CL's because they're a higher model
i can get the ef-61's for around the price thezeb sells the cl's for, so the CDT EF-61 would be ok?

i have the cdt ef-61cf, they are amazingly accurate, make a nice palce to mount them, and some deadening and there will probly be enough mid-bass.

ah i c, im planning on building kick panels, i just started learning how to fiberglass, fun stuff, the stock location for my accord, instantly blocks out 25-30% of the speaker, so yea, the euroframes will be good? thanks
