Do your headlights jump and flicker when you hit bumps? I know mine do. I called the dealership today and he said there is a fix. It was released on Nov,27. There is a TSB out for the problem. The service guy I talked to knew about it before even looking it up.

Anyone know of the TSB or the correct repair? I am visiting this forum (usually on the Silverado forum) to search for a fix for my wife's '04 GT-2 bouncing headlamp problem. I did a search and this thread is one of a few that came up addressing this.
Her car is so bad that people driving ahead of us will comment at stops. You can also see the reflection off road signs flickering like crazy at night.
I've pulled both assemblies out to check for broken pieces and they look fine. Please help!

If your car is under warranty, have a dealer do the repairs listed on bulletin 304-08-42-013 (Nov 23, 2004). If you're past warranty, order repair kit #10388091. This kit includes parts do do both sides, but it is on national backorder. I still got mine in a little over a week.
You have to remove both headlamp assemblies, measure and drill a couple of holes in the facia support bracket to bolt the support for more rigidity, then you replace those pull-out white headlamp retainers with bent metal pieces that bolt to holes that you drill in the core support. This keeps them from shaking. If you have a fax, I will fax a copy of the bulletin.
A coworker has a 2005 GP and these parts came on it. A little more involved to remove the headlamps when needed, but worth it.

If any '04 owners still have not done the repairs listed in this bulletin, you should. I put the kit on last night and it made a world of difference. They no longer shake and flicker.
