ETS light goes on / off on its owne

ETS light comes on without touching swicht on my grand am 1996 i'm woundering if you know anything about this problem is the control modul your talking about related to this ???? And let me add that this hapens wen im driving and the transmission jerks very briffely 3 or 4 time then it comes on then will some time go back off and do the same will hapen and wen it does that it runs nicely (no jerking) as long as the light is on (ETS off).

I can help u with that i think..i had same problem..
Open hood and look stright down where trany meets engine block on the front about half way dont..U will see a bolt that holds trany to engine.. To that there is few wires connected to it with a connectores..There is like 4 or more wires connected to bolt with a connector..If any of thoes Wires are broken off the Engine light will come on and ETS light will stay on...Had that happed to me 2 times !!!
And the car will jerk..on and off.....
